This Privacy Policy explains how Wallwright ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and Service, and sets out your rights under UK data-protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data — your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely) when you register or sign in.
- Design data — the media-wall designs you create and save, and any custom material pricing you enter.
- Enquiry data — the information you provide when you contact us (name, email, phone, role, topic and message).
- Technical & usage data — information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and how you interact with the Service, collected via server logs and cookies.
2. How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Service and your account;
- save and load your designs and material pricing;
- respond to your enquiries and provide support;
- secure the Service, prevent misuse and debug issues;
- improve the Service and understand how it is used; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
3. Legal bases for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service and your account.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain and improve the Service, and to respond to enquiries, provided our interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — where required, for example non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with the law.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and understand usage. For details, see our Cookies Policy.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service (for example hosting and infrastructure providers), who act on our instructions, and where required by law or to protect our rights. Any such providers are bound to keep your data secure and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
6. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data-protection law.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When you close your account we will delete or anonymise your personal data unless we are required to retain it.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data (including hashing of passwords). However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- request portability of data you provided to us; and
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@wallwright.build. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children and is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the "last updated" date.
