These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Wallwright — the online media-wall design and cutting-list tool — including our website, 3D configurator, bill-of-materials, cut diagrams and any related services (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. What Wallwright is — and what it is not
Wallwright is a design, visualisation and estimation tool. It lets you lay out a media wall in 3D and produces an indicative materials list, cost estimate and cutting diagrams to help you plan a build.
Wallwright is NOT a builder, joiner, carpenter, fitter, installer, architect, structural engineer, electrician, gas engineer, surveyor or building-control body, and it does not provide construction, structural, electrical, fire-safety, or professional design services. The Service does not constitute professional, engineering, structural, safety, legal or building-regulations advice of any kind.
2. Estimates, measurements and cutting lists are indicative only
All outputs of the Service — including dimensions, quantities, cut lengths, sheet counts, cutting diagrams, offcuts, weights, coverage figures and prices — are automatically generated estimates based on the information you enter and on assumptions built into the software. They are provided for guidance and planning only.
You must independently check, verify and confirm every measurement, quantity and cut before purchasing materials, cutting anything, or beginning any work. Real-world materials, tolerances, site conditions, wall geometry, sheet sizes and product availability vary, and the Service cannot account for the specifics of your space or your materials.
- Always measure your actual space and materials yourself before ordering or cutting.
- Treat quantities as a starting point — order sensible contingency for waste, error and damage.
- Cutting diagrams are suggestions, not instructions; confirm every cut against your own measurements.
- Never rely on the Service as the sole basis for any purchase, cut or structural decision.
3. Tools, cutting, machinery and personal safety
Building a media wall involves power tools, hand tools, cutting, lifting and working at height. These activities are inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury, death or property damage if carried out incorrectly.
You are solely responsible for your own safety and the safety of anyone assisting you or affected by your work. Wallwright does not provide tool, machinery, cutting or safety instructions, and nothing in the Service should be treated as guidance on how to use any tool or perform any cut safely.
- Only use tools and machinery you are competent and trained to use, strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and follow all applicable health-and-safety guidance.
- If you are not confident and competent to carry out any part of the work safely, do not attempt it — engage a suitably qualified and experienced professional.
4. Structural, electrical, fire, gas and building-regulations work
A media wall may involve fixing to walls, load-bearing considerations, concealment of cables, electrical work, ventilation for AV or heating appliances, electric fires, and compliance with the Building Regulations and other laws.
The Service does not assess structural adequacy, load bearing, fire safety, electrical safety, ventilation or regulatory compliance, and must never be relied upon for any of these. You must obtain advice from, and where appropriate have the work carried out by, suitably qualified and registered professionals (for example a structural engineer, a registered electrician, or a competent building professional), and you must obtain any permissions, approvals or certifications required by law.
5. No professional advice
The Service and all associated content are provided for general information and planning purposes only and do not constitute professional advice. Wallwright is not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified builder, joiner, architect, structural engineer, electrician or other relevant professional.
Before relying on any output of the Service you should seek independent advice appropriate to your circumstances from a suitably qualified professional. Any reliance you place on the Service is strictly at your own risk.
6. Materials, pricing and quantities
Prices shown in the Service (including any default "our price" figures and any prices you enter yourself) are indicative estimates only, are inclusive of VAT where indicated, and may not reflect the actual prices, availability, specifications or terms offered by any supplier at any time.
Where you enter your own material pricing, you are responsible for the accuracy of the figures you provide and for the resulting estimates. We do not verify supplier prices, and material costs, availability and specifications change frequently and without notice.
You are responsible for confirming current prices, specifications, availability and suitability of all materials directly with your chosen supplier before purchasing.
7. Third-party suppliers, merchants and manufacturers
The Service may reference third-party builders' merchants, suppliers, products or brands (for example, for illustration or so you can source materials). Wallwright is not affiliated with, does not endorse, and is not responsible for any third party, their products, prices, availability, conduct, or their websites or terms.
Any contract you enter into to buy materials or services is solely between you and that third party. We accept no liability in respect of any third-party product, service or supplier.
8. Software provided "as is" — no warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wallwright makes no representations or warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, in relation to the Service, including any implied warranties or terms as to satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement.
Without limitation, we do not warrant that: the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; that any defect will be corrected; that the outputs, estimates, calculations or diagrams will be accurate, complete, reliable or suitable for any purpose; or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitations of the software
The Service models a simplified, idealised representation of a build and cannot capture every real-world factor. Its calculations rely on assumptions, standard sizes and the data you provide, and may not reflect your actual walls, floors, ceilings, services, obstructions, tolerances, materials or site conditions.
You acknowledge that the Service has inherent limitations, that its outputs are approximations, and that it is your responsibility to apply your own judgement and professional advice to your specific project.
10. Incorrect use, handling and reliance
You are responsible for using the Service correctly and for how you interpret, handle and act on its outputs. Wallwright is not liable for any loss or damage arising from incorrect data entry, misinterpretation of results, misuse of the Service, mishandling of materials, or any decision, purchase, cut or construction made in reliance on the Service.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Wallwright shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your construction, cutting, tool use, handling of materials, or reliance on any estimate, measurement, quantity, diagram or price produced by the Service;
- Wallwright shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill, data, or any wasted materials, time or expenditure, however arising;
- Wallwright shall not be liable for any physical injury, death, or damage to property arising in connection with any build undertaken with reference to the Service; and
- our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are not carried out with reasonable care and skill, and nothing in these Terms affects those statutory rights. Advice on your statutory rights is available from your local Citizens Advice or Trading Standards office.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wallwright and its officers, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your builds, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any applicable law or the rights of any third party, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Beta software
The Service is currently offered as a beta / pre-release product. It is under active development, may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time, and is more likely to contain errors, incomplete features and inaccuracies. You should treat all outputs with additional caution during the beta period.
14. Your account and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt or compromise it, reverse-engineer it, use it unlawfully, or use it to infringe the rights of others.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users.
15. Your designs and content
You retain ownership of the designs and content you create using the Service. You grant us a licence to store and process your designs and content as necessary to provide the Service to you. You are responsible for keeping your own records and backups of anything you rely on.
16. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the "Wallwright" name and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the Service, no rights are transferred to you.
17. Availability and changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any unavailability of, or change to, the Service, or for any loss arising from it.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the "last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
20. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
